Osseous Surgery

Osseous surgery is considered to be one of the most effective treatments for halting the progression of moderate to early severe periodontal disease where bone grafting  is not available. Dr. Staller is regarded as a leading authority in performing osseous surgery in Princeton.

Multiple sections can be addressed in a single treatment. Once the diseased root and bone area are accessed, the infection is removed and the gum and jawbone are reshaped to create a more effective seal around the tooth. The procedure is always performed with a local anesthetic. Oral conscious sedation and/or nitrous oxide can be administered to ensure the patient’s comfort.
